ABSTRACT

Media technology such as television, radio, video, games, internet, music and mobile phone, have brought about problematizing learning in the age of data acquisition, issues in research, teaching and learning with digital media. This project will focus mainly on Television and its contribution to the assimilation process of school children. Television is an electronics device that receives a visual and audible signal and plays it to the viewer. It is a widely used telecommunication system for broadcasting and receiving moving pictures and sounds over a distance.  Since it first became commercially available from the late 1930s, the Television set has become a common household communication device in homes and institutions, particularly in the first world, as a source of entertainment and news.
